The early 1960s witnessed a boom in Spanish tourism and Andalucia began to receive more and more visitors each year, in search of sunny weather good food and cultural exploration. From time to time some of those visitors were nobel-prize winners, Hollywood famous stars politicians and artists. They did not miss the opportunity to enjoy the “duende” and artistic skill one could find at the gypsies’ Sacromonte caves and flamenco dance.
Maria La Canastera’s Zambra is a must for everyone who visits Granada, due to the role it has played in the history and the culture of our city. As proof of this one can refer to the number of celebrities and famous that have visited our cave over the years and whose memories stand indelible in the photos hung at the cave walls.
